Julia Schiefer is reporting on the OMNIBUS Reading Tour – without actually partaking personally, of course! A blog somewhere between fiction and reality: she will be taking us on her own Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour with real insights instead of the usual sightseeing! Her excursions – open to all – are designed for everyday life (but mostly out of range). If you look to your left, you may see a dog chewing on a skirt; to your right, a scooter transporting a bucket of water as a chariot carries a peacock off to a jolly good show. Partners in Crime. Where art thou, Norway?
Hi folks, country musicians, fjord walkers, cloud gardeners and fellow participants, unexpected room-mates and folly colleagues in what can be called a collectivisation CROWD, hi to everyone on the road or not, and hi to the authors currently on the bus. Seemingly the authors disappeared for a little while, leaving only small traces of their journey. Listen to the silence of Norway.
In conversation with the authors. Norway
The second week (out of 12) of the OMNIBUS tour has started. The bus crawls up north to Tromsø covering big streches across Lapland before gradually falling back down again towards continental Europe. Please let me introduce the authors on tour once again, in a handy shake-around.

In conversation with the authors. Finland
It’s been three days since the tour started on 2nd May in Helsinki. Today the bus will reach the island of Hailuoto and the village of Marjaniemi, a seaside residential on the western flank of Finland with a historical lighthouse on its ground. The bus will stay on the island only for a few hours with eight authors now occupying the vehicle. Let’s take a breath and shed some light on them. Follow me to the textual and virtual conversation with the authors.
Festival Guide: Poetry Moon in Finland
Poetry Moon is a literature festival based in Helsinki, Finland, which will be held from 21st to 27th August 2015 – this is in two weeks, crowdies!
What is special about the festival is the diversity of the events and approaches ranging from events for children to a poetry marathon up to poetry as “fire prevention”. It is a festival aiming at assembling new and other ways of presentation of and participation in literature. Radiophonic collages, creative writing and improvisation or poetry swallowed up by it all: the picture, sound, movement, smell, taste, touch. I would say: get your suitcases ready!
KROKODIL Literary Festival (SB): A Dispatch
“Every year in mid-June, in front of the Yugoslav Museum in Belgrade, a strange sect gathers: made up of friends whose names you don’t know.” Continue reading KROKODIL Literary Festival (SB): A Dispatch
