Jennifer Bode (1989) organizes the U30 reading series in Berlin with Elisabeth Botros. She is currently completing her MA in Comparative Literature at FreieUniversität Berlin. After having gained experience at a number of literary festivals and working as an intern for a literary agency in Berlin and for the German Book Office in New York, Jennifer Bode now works as a student assistant at her university’s Institute for Comparative Literature and as a freelance translation editor for Random House. In 2012, she was part of the jury of the international playwright competition launched by The Internationalists; in 2013, she was invited to join the jury of poet/bewegt, a writing competition for young authors.
“U30 – NeueLiteratur für Berlin“ was founded at the beginning of 2013 and has always been dedicated to promoting the work of young authors. For each reading, five authors under the age of 30 are selected to present their prose in front of a larger audience.
