Valgerður Þóroddsdóttir (b. 1989) is a writer, poet and journalist. She is one of the founders and current directors of Meðgönguljóð, a grassroots literary organisation and publisher of poetry based in Iceland. Her work has appeared in print in Fireflies and SAND in Berlin; Cereal in Bristol; Zona de Obras in Zaragosa; and Iceland Review, The Reykjavík Grapevine and Stína, among others, in Reykjavík. In 2014, Valgerður was nominated on behalf of Iceland to the PEN International New Voices Award. She lives in Reykjavík.
